WANT A DEDICATED RECTANGULAR STADIUM?

it's certainly been a rough couple of months for the stadium project ...

The Coalition Government has wisely stated that the Kitchener Park proposal was not a suitable solution for all stakeholders. Unfortunately, there has been no public statement made about the future of the rectangualr field codes..

Our petition has been presented to the Legislative Assembly. It is now a matter of public record that 8,832 Western Australians are in favour of a dedicated rectangular stadium.

So, what can I do now that I've signed my name?

The best answer to that question is MAKE NOISE. You signed the petition, you followed the debate, tell people about it! Call your local member of parliament, state your case. You may be in one of several electorates which are held by a handful of votes......make sure every candidate knows this is an election issue for you.

Call talkback radio, write a letter to the editor of a newspaper. Use whatever skills you have at your disposal to spread the word that too few people in Western Australia know.

Rob Hill, the chair of We Need Corners says "Rugby, Rugby League and Football in this state will suffer, and likely die a slow death without a positive resolution to the dedicated rectangular stadium question."

So, when your workmates ask you what can you do to save Football, Rugby League and Rugby Union. Tell them, to push for a dedicated rectangular stadium.

News Flash! The Town of Vincent has proposed an upgrade to Member's Equity Stadium. for $50 million, the ground can be upgraded to 22,500 seats and corporate facilities updated. See our forums for discussion on this proposal
